One of the main instructions given to the leaders of the church was to be able to teach. Leaders are also commanded to equip the saints so that they can also carry out the work of the minsitry, and this exactly what our skilled teachers desire to do.

Coming to our services should be a time of worship and fellowship, but also of mental strengthening. Sermons are understandable but yet stimulating to the mind with respect to accurate doctrine and implication.

The Great Commission of Matthew 28 tells us that we must be going into all the world, making disciples of persons in all nations. At Rejoice, we are a sending church and we aim to take that seriously by using whatever means we have to promote worldwide missions.

We currently support over 34 missionaries in over 12 countries internationally, including the Hanna Project and Creative Access through Free Will Baptist International Missions. Missouri Free WIll Baptist Association created The Show Me Plan for supporting missionaries. This year we have members on teams to Brazil, Cuba, Ecuador, and Australia.  If you have any interest in serving on one of these teams or have questions about missions and your life, please see one of our pastors for assistance.

Our Mission

God's desire is for us to Know Him and Make Him Known. At Rejoice, we fufill that mission by helping grow up the next generation of believers and strengthening generations through connecting life with faith and reaching out to Columbia. We offer a variety of service projects, groups, and studies for adults and children aimed at challenging people to spiritual growth and bettering their own mission field.

Home Life

Every Home a Lighthouse

Making your home a place for your neighbors to see Christ's effects on your life.

Matthew 5:14-16 You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.  Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

How can I be a light in my neighborhood?
  • Ask God to help you care about non-Christians. (John 8:32)
  • Ask God to make your home a lighthouse in your neighborhood. (Psalm 27:1)
  • Prayer walk you neighborhood, weekly or more often. (Psalm 43:3)
  • See what God does in you and your neighbors.

Our Life Verse:
Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,  to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
